We have stayed here a number of times. Had been interesting to see how things have changed. Some better some not so much. The beds are still great. We will be back as we are "locals".
Location was terrific. We were attending several events over the weekend (off-season) throughout Whitefish and made a couple of trips to Glacier, and the Firebrand was a great jumping-off point. The room was very clean when we got there and modern, including outlets and USB outlets on each side of the bed. Two complaints: 1. The walls were a bit thin... I could hear everyone going back and forth at all times of day. 2. It took a really long time for housekeeping to get to making up our room each day... 4 or 5 pm. Otherwise it was a very good stay.
Beds were excellent. Everything was very clean. Hot tub was great. The shower wouldn't stay hot. The lounge was too loud way too late. Quiet time was stated to be at 10 pm which was not kept at all.
Overall, it's a nice hotel. Convenient outlets for plugging in electronics and a comfy bed. Two issues with our stay, though: 1) not enough parking. They issued us a parking pass but we had to park on the street. I can't complain too much since parking was free, but what's the point of the pass if there aren't enough spaces? 2) Housekeeping services started very late in the day. We were gone all day and they didn't get to our room. We arrived back at 5pm, and they knocked on the door asking to take of the room. We declined at that point. It seems as though 5pm is far too late to start this.
We went during lunch time when there were not very many people. The service was great. We had a beer and a sampling of the lunch menu. All the food was great. Also, they were playing Frank Sinatra which is always a good thing. The charcuterie board was on point and the bison pot pie was perfect for the cold weather. If you're a heavy eater, you'll need to order more than just one thing for lunch because the plates are on the smaller side.
And surcharges were applied on everything including $15 for shampoo. Servers went out of their way to bring milk and chocolate sauce up for our daughter to have her chocolate milk for the night.
