Top notch staff, can watch and talk directly with the chefs as they cook which is a neat bonus. Food is amazing. I will be hitting this place every time I visit Montana :)
Small portions and large price tags... Very nice otherwise
Started out with some pretty good fried green tomatoes. Then had a few not so great tasting small plates. One was the elk which was 4 little bites of gamey meat for $19. Another was two scallops that were rubbery and burned on the outside. Another was the halibut cheeks which were dryish and stringy and not great. Definitely not going back. I will say the waitstaff were really great though.
Excellent Service and Excellent food! The accommodated my vegan diet and made a combo plate of all the various vegetables dishes they usually prepare with meat in an amazing presentation The ambiance was awesome, the staff extra friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Our waiter was good and our food tasted great. We really liked that they have two different portion sized based sections that you can choose from and the waiter explained that to us. I ordered the prosciutto wrapped shrimp and grilled broccoli and my husband ordered the elk tenderloin, both from the smaller portion menu. His meal was the only meal that came with rice and a vegetable and was more expensive than even the seafood options so even though it was from the smaller portioned menu, we assumed that it would be larger than the others, especially after the waiter explained the size of the prosciutto wrapped shrimp, which ended up being the perfect size. What my husband received though was a portion size appropriate for a toddler that only eats half their happy meal. He said it tasted amazing, but the extremely small size, especially in comparison to my meal really surprised us and quite frankly put us off. When I was concerned about the portion size of my meal would have been a good time to mention that you only get about 2 oz of tenderloin, just enough rice/corn mix for it to sit on and about three brussel sprouts (that no joke was more than the elk..). Again, the food tasted wonderfully, and it has a cool atmosphere but if you order off the smaller portion side of the menu, make sure that you ask what the size is for each option so you don't have to go find more food after you've already eaten.
