Side note, I highly recommend taking the train here! Beautiful countryside, and Whitefish is small enough that you can get away with not even having a car if you don't want to rent.
This was one of my nicest stays in a long time. It is 5 star quality (restaurant is magnificent) at what felt like a 3 star price point. Will stay again ... and again ... and
Very nice rooms. Plenty of space. Fridge and microwave but no plates or flatware. Only mugs and wine glasses. One luggage bench and no dresser. Bathroom is huge with separate shower and tub. Restaurant on site has terrific food! Drinks are great and I recommend the Huckleberry Cosmo. View of the lake is fantastic. Walking trail where you might see a bear. There are condos on the property where folks live full time.
I was disappointed by the cleanliness and attention to detail in our room. The shower tiles had lots of pink mold and our room was not vacuumed nor was the coffee replaced and garbage was spilled and not picked up when housekeeping came. The lodge is beautiful and everyone was super nice however. Hopefully they will sort out the other stuff
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here while on our honeymoon back in May of this year. Our stay was literally paradise. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Our room was bigger than our apartment with a huge bed, a bathtub big enough for 2, an awesome kitchen equipped with all the essentials, and a gorgeous view of the beautiful Whitefish Lake. Their restaurant "The Boat Club" had delicious food and drinks, and when they had live entertainment it was fun to go down and see it but if you weren't in the mood, you couldn't hear anything from your room. It was so nice and quiet! Our stay there is definitely not going to be forgotten, and we plan to stay here again sometime in the future.
Really loved staying here. We usually stay here for the Montana Spartan Race, and it's so nice to come back to this level of luxury after a tough day of racing. Drinks on the patio by the lake, tons of outdoor activites just minutes away, and - oh right, all of this in the beautiful Whitefish Montana! Hard to go wrong.
